A Profile of M S and R [PG Diploma in Taxation]

This is one-year postgraduate course leading to Diploma in Taxation. This course is helpful to the students who wish to acquire expertise knowledge in taxation.

Existing practitioners in the field of taxation can keep themselves abreast and can improve their efficiency and the students who wish to join the profession of tax consultancy may join this course.

Eligibility:

A Graduate of any faculty of S. G. B. Amravati University or any other Statutory University, recognized by S. G. B. Amravati University.

Course Curriculum:
The examination in Diploma in Taxation shall comprise of the following papers carrying 100 Marks each- :-

1 - Direct Taxes
2 - Indirect Taxes
3 - Business and Economic Laws
4 - Elements of Commerce

100 marks and shall be distributed as under :-

Written Examination
80 Marks
Sessional / Practical
20 Marks
Sessional / Practical marks shall be awarded by the Head of the Department in consultation with the subject teacher and shall be based on :-
(i) Terminal examination (ii) Field visits (iii) Assignments and Term Report shall be based on i), ii) and iii) above.
